Cockroach Janta Party Founder Alleges Website Takedown Amid NEET-UG Protest Campaign

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the viral Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has alleged that the party’s official website was taken down, accusing the BJP-led central government of “dictatorial behaviour” and suppression of online dissent.

Dipke claimed that the satirical political platform had witnessed massive public participation, with nearly 10 lakh people reportedly joining the movement online. According to him, over 6 lakh users signed a petition demanding the resignation of the Education Minister in connection with the NEET-UG controversy.

The Cockroach Janta Party gained rapid popularity on social media through memes, satire, and criticism of political and administrative issues. Following the alleged website shutdown, supporters of the platform began trending hashtags demanding restoration of the site and greater digital freedom.

The NEET-UG issue has already triggered nationwide outrage among students and parents over alleged irregularities in the examination process. Dipke stated that the petition campaign was intended to amplify student concerns and hold authorities accountable.

Political analysts say the rise of satirical digital movements like CJP reflects increasing frustration among younger internet users, especially on issues related to education, unemployment, and governance. At the same time, experts caution that claims regarding government involvement in website removals remain unverified unless supported by official evidence or technical findings.

The controversy has further fueled debates around online censorship, political expression, and the growing influence of internet-driven activism in India.
